  • Founder & Coach

Geordie McEvoy started playing tennis at the age of 3 on a concrete court in Dalmeny, coached by his father. He began lessons at the age of 6 and started playing in the local junior competition at 8 years old.

Geordie was coached by the Larkham’s who both played professionally, this high level of coaching in Narooma. This coupled with the local junior competition and tournaments meant that he would reach state teams level for under 12’s and travelled to the northern NSW border to participate at a state level.

Geordie began a junior coaching qualification of tennis at 19 years old under NGT founder Richard Sellick. After completing the qualification and 2 years of coaching Geordie moved to Melbourne where he began coaching for a large coaching company around the St Kilda area.

After a stint in Melbourne, Geordie rejoined Richard at Next Generation Tennis and they became a partnership in 2020.

This had led to the expansion of Next Generation to many locations on the south coast, now including Batemans Bay.

Geordie has over a decade of coaching experience now in junior and senior coaching
